  • Tuesday Musicale begins the New Year with an absolutely fascinating program on January 14

If you’ve never heard of a Chinese instrument called the erhu, Tuesday January 14 will be your opportunity to find out about it. It’s a bowed two-stringed Chinese instrument, and Xiao Dong Wei is a dazzling performer on this instrument.

Also on the program will be an outstanding up- and-coming virtuoso pianist Forrest Howell, saxophonist Chris DeLouis in his debut performance with Tuesday Musicale, Student Leaguer pianist John Chisholm, and a piano trio led by Maria Lord-Kniveton who will be presenting one of her own original compositions.

All in all, a rich variety of music in a concert you will not want to miss.

That’s Tuesday January 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Grosse Pointe United Methodist Church, 211 Moross in Grosse Pointe Farms.

Please join me at this concert which, I can promise you, is one that will be long remembered.
